just a little bit

Something to Say

I was waiting up for you,

morning came and went too soon that day

cup of coffee, bit of news,

someone’s always got something to say.

it’s easy to wonder what went wrong,

it’s easy to wonder what could have been.

But oh, how our stories twist and fold,

makes every page a Question once again.

I was thinkin’ bout the months,

the years, how they moved on,

Ask nobody else and could we just take off just the same.

pick up from where we left?

It’s easy to wonder what went wrong,

what we could have done

But wouldn’t you like to finally be true

to finally feel and be real

yes it’s easy to call the whole thing off,

it’s easy to say it simply can’t be done.

But my dear, I’ve learnt time, it waits for no one.
