I created this page as ‘The Green Tea Writer’ simply because I love green tea and I love writing. I picked up blogging during my undergraduate days of studying Neuroscience at the University of Leicester. In 2019, I graduated as Top 3 of my faculty (on the prize list which was equivalent to Dean’s List) and won an Oxford University Press Award for my research on cerebrovascular physiology (vascular health of the brain).
Later that year I joined King’s College London, branching out to study Global Affairs (International Relations), where my regional focus is in Asia Pacific, specialising in Western foreign policy. At the moment I am based at the Department of War Studies for my Master’s thesis. I have previously worked for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the American Red Cross.
For my current projects/positions, do get connected with me on LinkedIn for more information. This page is a personal and an academic blog where I write about three things I love: art, science and politics. I can also be reached at my university email at: annatan.emm (at) kcl.ac.uk.
